The Importance of Nutrition for Your Performance
If you are serious about your training, then you need to get serious about your nutrition! It is true what they say: Work hard in the gym, work even harder in the kitchen. With that said, this is a great pyramid. It was designed by Greg Glassman, the founder and CEO of CrossFit, Inc. and in relation to nutrition for sports performance, as a qualified nutritionist, I couldn't agree with it more. Imagine this is a pyramid of your training essentials; and notice, nutrition is at the base. This lays the molecular foundations for fitness and health. Other levels of the pyramid include metabolic training or conditioning, gymnastics, weightlifting and throwing, and sports; where each level builds upon the level below it.
